Let people choose whether they are applying for employment or applying as a subcontractor, then keep them in applicant status until review is complete.

Submissions are disabled until Scott enables private capture testing. Pending employment/subcontractor accounts stay locked; no Shopify, Google, device, phone, internal app, email, or SMS access is provisioned.
Documents after capture

Public applications create locked pending account records only after private testing. They do not provision Shopify, Google, phones, devices, or internal apps.

This route is live so Onyx can test the final portal structure. The form plumbing is capture-only behind a private gate: Shopify writes, portal account creation, uploads, pricing access, SMS, email, and approvals stay disabled until Scott approves launch.

Legal documents, MSA acceptance, lien/property-owner language, payment authorization, quality signoff, and installer/subcontractor agreements are intentionally deferred to the dedicated Legal Documents workflow pass.

Before this goes live

  • Employment paths should include store associate and installer applications without provisioning Shopify, Google, devices, phone lines, or internal app permissions from the public submission alone.
  • Subcontractor paths should ask for trade/license type such as drywall, wallpaper installer, painter, handyman/general labor, millwork, tile, or other.
  • Subcontractor applicants upload proof, insurance, W-9, license details where applicable, and stay locked pending until approval.
  • Approved workers must acknowledge role/access changes before new permissions activate.
  • Keep pending dashboards separate from installer, subcontractor, manager, and owner dashboards until activation.
